Dosed by simple in-line blending, ADA lifts the RON of straight-run, catalytic and virgin gasoline - and DT-N lifts diesel cetane - without a reformer, isomerisation unit or MTBE plant.

What we do

One accountable partner from first sample to recurring supply.

We work with refiners, fuel blenders, import terminals, distributors and trading houses that need to hit tighter octane and emissions specifications without a multi-year capital project.

Balien Petrochemicals handles the commercial side end to end: qualifying your requirement, shipping samples, coordinating laboratory and field trials with the manufacturer's technical team, and building a landed-cost case against your current MTBE or import volumes. Once the numbers are proven on your fuel, we set up regular supply in drums or bulk.

The ADA Range

Six grades, matched to your feedstock and target spec.

Built on aromatic-amine and oxygenate chemistry, free of lead, manganese and iron. Supports production across RON-76, 92, 95 and 98 grades.

ADA

Gasoline

The core anti-detonation additive. Converts low-octane straight-run and virgin gasoline into higher commercial grades.

≈ +6 RON at 1.5% dose

ADA - Super

Gasoline

Higher-performance grade for premium production — the straightforward route from RON 92 to RON 95.

92.0 → 95.6 RON at 1.5%

ADA - Krata

Gasoline

Multifunctional: octane boost plus detergent and anti-corrosion action. Formulated to support Euro-4 compliant gasoline.

GOST hazard class 4 (lowest)

ADA - N

Gasoline

Ash-free nano-structured grade with the strongest uplift, also acting as a combustion catalyst in the engine.

10+ RON uplift

DT - N

Diesel

Ignition-quality booster with anti-smoke, depressor and dispersant action. Cuts CO by a factor of 1.7 at a 1% dose.

+6 cetane minimum at 1%

Techno - ADA - D

Diesel

EVA-copolymer cold-flow depressor that turns summer-grade diesel into winter-grade and steadies low-temperature storage.

Pour point −15°C at 5%

Performance

Proven in refinery trials.
Re-proven on your fuel.

Versus MTBE

A 60 t shipment of ADA upgrades about 4,000 t of gasoline. The same 60 t of MTBE upgrades about 500–600 t — so MTBE needs over six times the tanker movements for the same volume.

Freight per tonne of finished RON-95

$0.43ADA-Krata
$3.33MTBE

Modelled on a 4,000 t RON-92 → RON-95 batch: roughly $11,200 saved on freight alone.

Cleaner exhaust

~30%less tailpipe CO
~8%fewer unburned hydrocarbons
15–20%less combustion-chamber deposit

How we start

A low-risk path from enquiry to supply.

  1. 01

    Specify

Share your base stream, current RON/cetane and target grade. We recommend the right additive and dose.

  2. 02

    Sample & Lab test

We ship samples with full documentation so your lab can verify the uplift on your own fuel.

  3. 03

    Terminal Trial

Blend a representative batch at terminal or blending level, before any refinery-wide commitment.

  4. 04

    Regular supply

With a landed-cost case proven, we agree a supply schedule in drums or bulk.

Technical

Frequently Asked Questions

Full technical data sheets and SDS are available on request. Your HSE and engineering teams should review them against local regulations and site conditions.

Request data sheets
How is ADA dosed?
By the same in-line or batch blending used for other gasoline components, at the refinery or downstream at terminals. ADA is denser than gasoline, so mix thoroughly — by pump circulation between tanks, nitrogen sparging, or recirculation through tank zones.
What is the shelf life?
From date of manufacture: ADA and ADA-Super 6 months; ADA-Krata 4 months. Store at 25 ±5°C in sealed steel containers, ideally under nitrogen; shade or cool tanks in hot climates.
Is it corrosive or hard on seals?
Non-corrosive to steel in 1,000-hour GOST testing. PTFE and paronite seals are unaffected; ordinary rubber can swell, so check seal materials before adoption.
What are the hazards?
The main component, N-methylaniline, is flammable (flash point 80°C). Finished ADA grades are GOST hazard class 3; ADA-Krata is class 4. Keep away from ignition sources and use explosion-proof equipment in storage areas.
Does treated fuel keep?
Yes. Built-in antioxidants stabilise the blend, reducing gum formation and colour degradation in storage and transit.

The Manufacturer

Three decades of production.

The ADA range has been established in the market since 1993, originally developed as an alternative to tetraethyl lead in fuel applications. With a long-standing production history, a diverse chemical portfolio and international market reach, the range is supported by established manufacturing expertise and quality management standards, including ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Balien Petrochemicals manages the commercial supply and distribution of the ADA range within its designated territories, providing customers with a dedicated point of contact for product enquiries, technical coordination and supply arrangements.
